Travels before the pandemic

Travels before the pandemic Two years have passed since the Covid-19 pandemic was declared.  Our lives were completely different before and after this pandemic. I used to travel abroad every few months before the pandemic, but I have been staying in Japan for the past two years. Looking back, It was amazing how easy it was to search for cheap flight tickets on skyscanner and travel abroad.  I traveled abroad a lot with super discounted tickets, it is a fond memory. Popular tourist destinations crowded with many travelers are a thing of the past. (At that time, a round-trip ticket from Tokyo to New York was less than US$300) In 2016~2017, there was a drop in fuel prices and airline ticket prices were incredibly low. A round trip ticket form Tokyo to Europe was also about US$300. Seoul, Korea is very close to Japan, the round-trip ticket to seoul was often less than US$100.  It was even possible to travel to Korea just for have a meal on the weekend. At that time, the...

Review: Hotel Resol Ikebukuro

Hotel Resol Ikebukuro I stayed at Hotel Resol Ikebukuro.  This hotel is located in Ikebukuro.  The hotel's surroundings are urban and convenient, though not relaxed. It is a one minute walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro station on the Yurakucho Line.  If you are familiar with the Tokyo metro system, you should use this station. If you seem to have difficulty understanding the subwey route, I would recommend you to use the Ikebukuro station, which is a huge terminal station. It takes about 6 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station to Hotel Resol Ikebukuro. After check-in, take the amenities provided on the shelf next to the front desk to your room. 9 floors.  There is a ladies floor on the top floor. My room was on the 5th floor. There is a microwave oven on the 5th floor, which was really convenient. Modalet room.  14㎡. Personally, I prefer the style of taking off shoes at the entrance of the room. It is a unique layout of the refrigerator right next to the front doo...

Review: Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Kinshicho

Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Kinshicho I stayed at Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Kinshicho.  It is a new hotel which opened in December 2021.   This hotel located on the east side of Tokyo. It is convenient for sightseeing such as Sensoji temple and Tokyo Skytree. The nearest train station is Kinshicho.  (Sobu line, Hanzomon line)  it is less than 5 minutes walk from the south exit. the area around the station is very prosperous and convenient. I personally like the convenience of this station, because it is smaller and more fanctional than the mega terminal stations (like Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro) on the west side of tokyo. It is a new buildiing, opened three months ago, so it is so clean. Skin care products services are available.  they are complimentary. 12 stories. There is a coin laundry on the 7th floor. My room was on the 10th floor. The guest room floors are also brand new. Moderate room.  17㎡. There is a very nice working desk and TV...
